MCP gateway

Kin, compared. Only what we checked.

Each of these connects AI apps to your tools. Here is what each one's own docs say, beside what we ran in Kin.

Other products' answers come only from their own docs and pricing pages, read on , and each links to its page. A blank cell means their pages didn't answer it that day, not that the product can't. Kin's answers come from running the steps in Kin on October 31, 2026.

Where Kin fits.

Kin is for people who use several AI apps with their own accounts and want one set of rules for all of them: more than one account per service, approvals on your phone, a record of every call, and Pause to stop every app at once. How Pause works

What Kin doesn't do.

  • Kin is hosted. There is no version to run yourself.
  • Gmail and Google Drive are invite-only in Kin for now.
  • ChatGPT adds Kin as a custom MCP server on the web, where your workspace's permissions apply (OpenAI's page, read November 3, 2026). ChatGPT setup
  • Kin governs what goes through it. A command an agent runs on your computer by itself is outside Kin.
