Two GitHub accounts. One Claude.

I have a work GitHub and a personal one. Claude can use both, and my work account stays read only.

Connect each GitHub account to Kin as its own connection, give each one a level, then add Kin to Claude or Claude Code. Claude sees both accounts by name and asks which one to use.

Steps checked in Kin on .

Set it up

  1. Connect your first GitHub account

In Kin, connect GitHub and sign in. Kin names the connection after the account, and you can rename it, for example GitHub (work). GitHub in Kin

  2. Connect the second one

Connect GitHub again and sign in as the other account. It becomes a second connection with its own rules. Several accounts on one service

  3. Give each account a level

Open each connection. Set the work one to Read only and the personal one to Ask me for changes, or any mix you like. Levels for a connection

  4. Add Kin to Claude or Claude Code

In Claude, add a custom connector with Kin's address. In Claude Code, run the command below, then claude mcp login kin. Claude setup ยท Claude Code setup

claude mcp add --scope user --transport http kin https://app.kinlab.ai/mcp

Claude asks which account.

When a task fits both accounts, Kin tells Claude that more than one account can do it and to ask you which. Name the account in your request, like "in my work GitHub", and Claude uses only that one.

Each match carries the connection's name and the account behind it, so Claude never has to guess from a token.

Each account keeps its own rules.

A read-only account offers Claude nothing to change. When we asked Claude Code to comment on an issue with the read-only work account, Kin had no matching action to offer, so nothing was posted. The personal account, on Ask me for changes, would have sent the same comment to you first.

Not just GitHub.

The same works for any service in Kin: two Notion workspaces, two Linear workspaces, two Cloudflare accounts. Each sign-in is its own connection. Two Notion workspaces

Does this switch which account git pushes with?

No. Kin covers what Claude does through GitHub's API, such as issues, pull requests, reviews and files. The account git push uses on your computer is set by your git and SSH settings.

Can Claude use both accounts in one chat?

Yes. Both are there in every chat. Claude picks one per action, and asks when it cannot tell which you mean.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. Two connections and the rules for each are on every plan, Free included. Compare plans
