Add Kin to your AI apps

Add Kin to Claude Code

Anthropic's coding agent in the terminal. Give Claude Code one address, sign in to Kin, and it can use the accounts you connect, under your rules.

Before you start

  • Create a Kin account at app.kinlab.ai and connect at least one account. See Get started.
  • Kin's address for every AI app is https://app.kinlab.ai/mcp. A profile has its own address, shown on the profile. See Profiles.
  • Signing in is the recommended way. Use a token only when the app cannot sign in. You create one in Kin under AI apps, with Connect an AI app and then Paste a token (advanced), and Kin shows it once.

  1. In a terminal, add Kin to Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http kin https://app.kinlab.ai/mcp
  2. Start the sign-in. Run this, or type /mcp inside Claude Code and choose kin:

    claude mcp login kin
  3. A Kin sign-in window opens in your browser. Choose what Claude Code may use, then approve.

  • On a computer with no browser, add --no-browser to the login command. It prints the sign-in address for you to open elsewhere.

Use a token instead

Replace YOUR_TOKEN with the token you created in Kin under AI apps. See Sign in, or use a token.

  1. In a terminal, add Kin with your token:

claude mcp add --transport http kin https://app.kinlab.ai/mcp \
      --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN"
  2. Start Claude Code and type /mcp to check that kin is connected.

Good to know

  • This adds Kin to the current project. Add --scope user to the command to use it in every project.
  • Pick one method. If a token is set and later stops working, Claude Code does not fall back to sign-in.

After you connect

Ask the app to do something with an account you connected, such as "list my open Linear issues". The app searches Kin for a matching action and runs it if your rule allows it. An action set to Ask me waits for you. See Approvals and questions.

To change what this app may use, open AI apps in Kin. See What each AI app may use.

How we checked this guide

We ran these steps with Claude Code 2.1, in daily use. The commands were last checked against its own help on October 13, 2026.
