Add Kin to your AI apps
Add Kin to Gemini
The Gemini app on the web. Give Gemini one address, sign in to Kin, and it can use the accounts you connect, under your rules.
Before you start
- Create a Kin account at app.kinlab.ai and connect at least one account. See Get started.
- Kin's address for every AI app is
https://app.kinlab.ai/mcp. A profile has its own address, shown on the profile. See Profiles.
Steps
In a browser, go to gemini.google.com and sign in with a personal Google Account.
At the bottom, select Settings, then Connected Apps. If you do not see Connected Apps, select Personal Intelligence first.
Under Custom apps, select Add a custom app and paste this as the MCP server URL:
https://app.kinlab.ai/mcpSelect Next and follow the instructions on screen. When a Kin sign-in window opens, choose what Gemini may use, then approve.
In a chat, type @ and select Kin.
Good to know
- Google offers custom apps to people aged 18 or over in the US, in English, on a personal Google Account with Keep Activity on. Work and school accounts cannot add one.
- You add a custom app on the web. After that it also works in the Gemini mobile app.
- Gemini asks you to confirm before any action that changes something.
- Leave Advanced features alone. It is for services that cannot register an app automatically, and Kin can.
After you connect
Ask the app to do something with an account you connected, such as "list my open Linear issues". The app searches Kin for a matching action and runs it if your rule allows it. An action set to Ask me waits for you. See Approvals and questions.
To change what this app may use, open AI apps in Kin. See What each AI app may use.
How we checked this guide
These steps follow Gemini Apps Help as of October 13, 2026. We have not run every step.
After Next, Google only says to follow the on-screen instructions, so the sign-in step is described generally. It does not name a plan.
