Add Kin to your AI apps
Add Kin to your AI apps
Every AI app uses the same Kin address. Add it once in each app, sign in, and the app can use what you connected, under the rules you set.
One address for every app
Kin's address is:
https://app.kinlab.ai/mcpAny AI app that can add a remote MCP server can use it. Some apps call this a custom connector, a custom app or a plugin. The app signs in to Kin in your browser, and you choose what it may use before you approve.
In Kin, Connect an AI app on the AI apps page shows the same steps, with your own address filled in. If you use profiles, each profile has its own address. See Profiles.
Pick your app

Sign in, or use a token
Signing in is the recommended way. The app opens a Kin window, you choose what it may use, and Kin gives the app its own sign-in that you can see and remove later.
When an app cannot sign in, create a token for it. Open AI apps in Kin, select Connect an AI app, and choose Paste a token (advanced). Give it a Name and choose how long the Token works for: 30 days, 90 days or 1 year. Kin shows the token once, so copy it before you close the dialog, then paste it where the guide says.
Manage an AI app
On the AI apps page, each app's menu has:
- Edit access, to choose which connections or profiles the app may use, and whether it Can only read or Can read and change, within each connection's rules.
- Setup steps, to see that app's steps again.
- Replace token, for an app that uses a token.
- Remove, which takes away the app's access right away.
What the app sees
Kin offers every AI app the same five tools, whatever you connect:
- search finds the actions your rules let this app use, across everything you connected.
- describe tells the app what an action needs.
- read runs an action that only reads.
- execute runs an action that changes something. Kin checks your rule first, and an action set to Ask me waits for you.
- feedback lets the app report a wrong match or a problem.
You do not need to name the tools. Ask for what you want in plain words, and the app finds the action through Kin.
