Plans and usage
Every plan has the same rules, approvals, Pause and Activity. Plans differ in how much you can connect and run, and in a few features. The pricing page always has the current list.
What your plan sets
- Connections: how many accounts and services you can connect. Linked phones and Watches, and the Practice connection, do not count.
- AI apps: how many AI apps can use Kin at once.
- Actions a month: how many actions AI apps can run through Kin each month.
- Searches a month: searches for actions have an allowance of their own, far above everyday use.
- Features: a few things, such as building a connection from an API and pairing a computer, are on plans that include them. Kin names the plan that includes a feature wherever you meet it.
What counts as an action
An action is one thing an AI app asks a service to do through Kin, such as creating an issue or reading a page, once Kin sends it on to the service.
Searching for actions, reading their descriptions, requests your rules blocked, and requests still waiting for you are not counted as actions. Searches count toward the search allowance instead. Both counts start again on the first day of each month, in UTC.
See your usage
Open Settings, then Workspace. Under Usage, Kin shows your connections, AI apps, actions this month and searches this month against your plan.
When you reach a limit
Everything you set up stays as it is. Kin does not add a new connection or AI app until you remove one or move to a plan with more.
When the month's actions are used up, your AI app is told the limit was reached and the action does not run, until the next month or until you upgrade. When the month's searches are used up, a search does not run, and the app is told when the count starts again. A larger plan's limits apply as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Upgrade, switch or cancel
In Kin, open Settings, then Workspace.
Choose a plan to upgrade, and pay on the checkout page that opens.
To cancel or change your card later, select Manage billing on the same page.
- A paid plan may start with a free trial. Cancel during the trial and you are never charged. The pricing page says which plans have one.
- Cancelling ends the paid plan right away and moves the workspace to Free. Nothing is deleted. Your connections, AI apps, rules and Activity stay, and Free's limits apply to anything new.
- If a payment fails, your plan continues for up to 14 days while the payment is tried again and you update your card.
- Paid plans are available in the US.
Your AI subscriptions stay separate
Kin is not an AI assistant, and a Kin plan does not include or change any AI app's plan. Some AI apps let you add a custom MCP server only on certain plans of their own. Each setup guide says what we know.
