Kin as a plugin. Two commands.

I'd rather install a plugin than paste a server address into three config files.

Kin's plugin repository is kinlab-ai/kin-plugin. Add it as a marketplace and install kin@kin in Claude Code or Codex, or install it as a Gemini CLI extension. Then sign in to Kin once in each app.

Steps checked in Kin on .

Free for 5 connections and 2 AI apps. No card needed.

Set it up

  1. Claude Code

Add the marketplace and install the plugin. Then run /mcp, choose kin and sign in. Claude Code setup

    claude plugin marketplace add kinlab-ai/kin-plugin
    claude plugin install kin@kin
  2. Codex

Add the marketplace and the plugin, then sign in with codex mcp login kin. Signing Codex in

    codex plugin marketplace add kinlab-ai/kin-plugin
    codex plugin add kin@kin
  3. Gemini CLI

Install the extension. Gemini CLI shows what it adds and asks you to confirm. Then type /mcp auth kin in Gemini CLI. Gemini CLI setup

    gemini extensions install https://github.com/kinlab-ai/kin-plugin
  4. Choose what each app may use

Each sign-in opens Kin's window. Pick what that app can do and which connections it reaches, then approve. What each AI app may use

What the plugin adds.

Kin's address, set to sign in with OAuth, and two skills: one on calling Kin's tools and reading their answers, one on working with two accounts of one service. Gemini CLI also gets a short note in its context. No key or password is in the repository.

What we checked.

On October 31 we installed it in fresh config folders: Claude Code 2.1.316, Codex 0.165.0 and Gemini CLI 0.67.0 nightly. Each one listed Kin at its address, waiting for sign-in. Signing in is Kin's usual OAuth sign-in, which we ran end to end with Codex against a test Kin.

What about Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor?

They take Kin's address directly as a custom connector or MCP server. Steps for each app

Is the plugin open source?

Yes, under the MIT license, at github.com/kinlab-ai/kin-plugin. It holds setup files and skills, not server code. Kin itself runs as a hosted service.

Do I need a paid plan?

No. The plugin is free, and so is a Kin account. Each app you sign in counts toward your plan's AI apps. Compare plans
