Looking at Zapier MCP? Here's where Kin differs.

Claude Code can open pull requests. Codex only reads, and only GitHub. Both use the same Kin address.

In Kin, each AI app signs in on its own and you choose what it may use: read only or read and change, every connection or a few. Changes set to Ask me wait for you, and Activity names the app behind each call. Zapier MCP's own docs, linked below, describe its approach.

Free for 5 connections and 2 AI apps. No card needed.

Set it up

  1. Connect your services once

Pick each one from Kin's catalog and sign in. Services you can connect

  2. Add each AI app

Add Kin's address to each app. Each one signs in to Kin by itself. Steps for each app

  3. Choose what each app may use

At sign-in, choose Can only read or Can read and change, and Only these connections to narrow it. Change it later under AI apps. What each AI app may use

  4. Decide on changes

Changes ask you first. Approve or deny each one on Home in Kin, on the web or on your phone, with a note the app reads. Approvals

What Zapier MCP's docs say.

Each line comes from Zapier's own page, linked beside it and read November 3, 2026.

  • Several AI apps: "every MCP client uses the same apps, actions, skills, and mode." Zapier docs
  • Two accounts: each app has a default connection, and the agent can use another one when you ask. Zapier docs
  • Setting up tools: in managed mode, "you configure tools at mcp.zapier.com rather than through the agent." Zapier docs
  • A record: a History tab shows activity logs for tool calls. Zapier docs

What we ran in Kin.

On October 31, on a test Kin with GitHub and Microsoft Learn connected: Claude Code signed in with read and change on everything, and Codex with Can only read on GitHub alone. Claude Code was offered Merge pull request, set to ask first. Codex was offered only GitHub reads, and Microsoft Learn didn't appear for it at all.

When Claude Code asked to merge, Kin showed the app, the account, the pull request and Claude Code's reason. We denied it with a note, nothing merged, and Activity recorded the call under Claude Code.

Can two AI apps have different access?

Yes. Each app is its own sign-in in Kin, with its own read or change setting and its own connections. Allow, ask or block each tool

Can I use two accounts of one service?

Yes. Each account is its own connection, and when either could do a task the app is told to ask you which. Two GitHub accounts

Can I stop every app at once?

Yes. Pause in Kin stops every AI app at once, for as long as you choose. Pause

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Free includes connections from the catalog, rules, approvals and Activity. Compare plans
