Looking at Composio? Here's where Kin differs.

I wanted the AI apps I already use to reach my accounts, two GitHubs among them, and to ask me before anything changes. No code to write.

Kin is set up on screens, not in code. Each account is its own connection, every action has Allow, Ask me or Block, and a call set to Ask me waits in Kin for you, whichever AI app made it. Composio's own docs, linked below, describe how it handles the same things.

Steps checked in Kin on .

Free for 5 connections and 2 AI apps. No card needed.

Set it up

  1. Connect your accounts

Pick a service from Kin's catalog and sign in. Connect it again for a second account. Each is its own connection, with nothing to switch on. Several accounts on one service

  2. Set rules on a screen

Choose a level for each connection, or Allow, Ask me or Block for a single action. How rules work

  3. Add your own MCP server

Paste a remote MCP server's address and Kin lists its tools, sorted into reads and changes. Connect an MCP server

  4. Add Kin to your AI apps

One address for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor and more. Each app signs in to Kin. Steps for each app

What Composio's docs say.

Each line comes from Composio's own page, linked beside it and read November 3, 2026.

  • Two accounts: "By default, each session uses one account per toolkit," and a multi-account mode lets users connect several. Composio docs
  • Approvals: chosen by tool tag or tool name when a session is created, and marked experimental. Clients that support MCP elicitation, such as Claude Code, ask the user; with other clients those calls are denied by default. Composio docs
  • Logs: tool execution logs are kept for up to a year, on every plan. Composio docs
  • Your own server: Custom MCP adds tools from a remote MCP server, and is marked experimental. Composio docs

What we ran in Kin.

On October 31, on a test Kin: two GitHub accounts connected side by side. We set List issues on the work account to Ask me on its screen. Claude saw the action on both accounts and was told to ask which. Its call on the work account waited in Kin, showing the app, the account, the arguments and Claude's reason. We approved it, it ran once, and Activity kept the call.

We also added Context7's public MCP server by its address. Kin listed its two tools as reads.

Do I need to write code?

No. Accounts, rules and approvals are all set in Kin, and AI apps sign in to Kin with OAuth.

Does the approval depend on the AI app?

No. A call set to Ask me waits in Kin, so it works the same in Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and Cursor. You answer on Home in Kin, on the web or on your phone. Approvals

Is Kin open source?

No, Kin is a hosted service. The plugin that sets it up in Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI is open source. Kin's plugin

Is there a free plan?
